The bold and beautiful came out to play on Melbourne Cup day! This is one of my favourite days in Victoria as I love how everyone gets dressed up in colourful style and heads along for a good time. The atmosphere is always festive, fun and friendly. In racing news, Almandin secured a narrow victory, awarding owner Lloyd Williams a record fifth win in the $6.2 million dollar race. The Melbourne Cup Carnival continues with Crown Oaks Day on Thursday 3 November and concludes with Emirates Stakes Day on Saturday 5 November.
Tickets are still available for purchase from Flinders Street, Southern Cross and North Melbourne train stations or racegoers can buy online from Ticketek.
