This news has made my day! A re-worked Melbourne Fashion Week will run from 23-29 November. COVID-19 has seen them push the reset button and re-think the ways in which to support our local designers and retailers. This year, for the first time ever, they’ll be presenting a program featuring both digital and in-person events – if COVID-19 restrictions allow.
The 100-per-cent-free event will include an impressive line-up of digitally delivered runways from some of Melbourne’s favourite local designers and emerging fashion talent. They’ll also be presenting digital talks with industry experts as well as some in-person elements, factoring in social distancing restrictions.
It was a fabulous night of frills & fashion in Toorak Village! Thurley’s founder & Creative Director Helen O’Connor was inducted into the What’s On Stonnington Hall Of Fame on Tuesday 26 February. The stylish event held in her honour was hosted at Mercedes-Benz Toorak. Let’s take a look at the action!
We sipped on champagne and discovered the new eyewear trends at Eyescan Toorak on Thursday 11 Oct 2018. Stylists were on hand to showcase hot new looks for the season. Shoppers enjoyed 20% off the entire designer collection of Thierry Lasry. Let’s take a look at my shots!
NICE! The 2018 Melbourne Fashion Week schedule has been launched!
From Underground Runways in the iconic Degraves Underpass to pop-ups in laneways, MFW is ready to take over the entire city from 31 Aug – 7 Sept with over 150 events celebrating the very best in Australian fashion.
I’m glad to see the Underground Menswear Runway remains on the schedule, as it was a true highlight last year!
This year, the gorgeous Pia Miller will hold the stylish crown as official MFW ambassador. The Melbourne-raised actor and model walked the MFW runways over a decade ago and has gone on to star in Home and Away and become an Australian style icon, gracing the pages of Vogue Australia and Elle Australia to name a few.
