Heartbreak is rarely glamorous, but Heartbreak Hotel transforms the pain of love lost into a heartfelt and unexpectedly entertaining theatrical experience. I’ll admit it took me a little while to warm to the production. As someone who usually gravitates towards upbeat, feel-good theatre, this wasn’t what I expected. But once it found its rhythm, Heartbreak Hotel completely drew me in, taking me on a beautifully crafted journey that balances comedy, live music and raw emotion with remarkable honesty.
