The stars were out to play at the Melbourne Cup Carnival 2016 launch yesterday! The fabulous event was also the unveiling of Flemington’s new entertainment precinct The Park.
Looking beautiful both Rachel Griffiths and Rachael Finch held the glorious Melbourne Cup as attendees arrived. The event continued with a stage presentation, speeches and a fashion showcase of the latest fashion trends.
This new fashionable precinct was remarkable with so much to offer in its lovely grassy field of flirty entertainment. I was super impressed with the design and offerings at The Park, it lifts the Melbourne Cup Carnival to a new stylish level.
Highlights on offer included; James Boag’s Premium Bar, Lavazza coffee, L’Oréal Paris Powder Room, Cocktail Caravan Park by Pernod Ricard, Schweppes mixologists, TAB “We Love A Bet” karaoke, Yellowglen Terrace, Primo Deli, and tasty treats from some of Melbourne’s hottest restaurants and culinary destinations including Hanoi Hannah and Saigon Sally, Huxtaburger, Gelato Messina, Biggie Smalls, Doughnut Time and Knafeh.
The Melbourne Cup Carnival begins on Saturday 29 October with AAMI Victoria Derby Day, and continues with Emirates Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday 1 November, Crown Oaks Day on Thursday 3 November and concludes with Emirates Stakes Day on Saturday 5 November.
Tickets are still available for purchase from Flinders Street, Southern Cross and North Melbourne train stations or racegoers can buy online from Ticketek.
