Xmas is for giving!

Galleria is telling Melbourne’s Christmas Story for a second year.

Sustainability and highlighting the hard work accomplished by local charities are part of this story. Throughout the centre they’re celebrating the community spirit of the Galleria building and Melbourne city.

All the Christmas decorations have been made using recycled materials from tenants of the building.

Galleria is collecting food donations for Foodbank Victoria, and will match the dollar value with a cash donation up to the value of $3k.

Foodbank Victoria is the largest provider of emergency food relief in Victoria, feeding more than 100,000 Victorians experiencing food insecurity each month, almost a third of which are children.

Non-perishable food donations can be placed into the Nutcracker’s Hat at 385 Bourke Lobby, Galleria.

Oaks Day Style!

The sun was shining as Oaks Day known as Ladies Day continued the glamorous fun at the Melbourne Cup Carnival on Thursday 9 November 2017. In racing news a crowd of 63,000 watched the first lady of racing Gai Waterhouse win her first $1 million Group 1 Kennedy Oaks, with her filly Pinot clinching the feature race in style at Flemington. I was on the scene to catch the fashionable action…

Melbourne Cup fun and fashion!

Belting out the hits! Taylor Dayne in the Sensis Marquee.

The bold and beautiful came out to play on Melbourne Cup day! This is one of my favourite days in Victoria as I love how everyone gets dressed up in colourful style and heads along for a good time. The atmosphere is always festive, fun and friendly. In racing news, Rekindling took out the race and provided owner Lloyd Williams with a record-breaking sixth win in the $6.25 million feature.  Over 90,000 people where at Flemington Racecourse for the race that stops the nation, I was on the scene to capture all the fabulous action, let’s take a look…

Melbourne Fashion Week fun has begun!

The fun is underway at Melbourne Fashion Week 2017. It’s a fabulous showcase of the coming trends and styles for the spring/summer fashion season. This year there is a strong emphasis on diversity which is great to see, so far I’ve seen a gay wedding on the runway and female models in the menswear show. MFW 2017 boasts a massive line-up  with over 150 events across the city – including Premium Runways with the country’s leading designers, industry workshops, exhibitions, parties, films, music, and free fashion experiences. There is something for everyone!

The hub is Melbourne Town Hall and a great place to go celeb and street style spotting plus they feature live music and DJ sets. We’re only half-way through so get amongst it – link to schedule and buy tickets at bottom of post.

Follow me on my social channels and stay tuned for trend reports. See you on the runway.

Some of my opening night highlights…
