Melbourne Graffiti

I love going on mini adventures and discovering new graffiti! Especially has Melbourne has a very lively street art scene. This one I snapped on Chapel Street, Windsor and it caught my eye for it’s bold and fierce design. Not sure of the artist but if I find out will let you know.

Welcome to my blog: Mr Fashion Man

Welcome. I’m excited to be launching the next stage of my fabulous reporting career. Even though I’ve been blogging under the name Mr Fashion Man for a while now. It has become it’s own brand and thought it was about time to build a stand alone Mr Fashion Man blog. I still have my craiglawson.net website but that will be the hub for PR Agency Craig Lawson Communications.

Stay tuned as I have plenty of exciting new things planned and thank you to everyone for your ongoing support. I’m happy to say I’ve built a successful career from doing everything I love. Craig x

My adventures at Australian Fashion Week 2017!

What a fabulous showcase! I attended Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2017 in Sydney and had a ball as your trusty Man on the Scene. I was there to uncover the new trends of the Resort season, reporting for my own stylish Mr Fashion Man network and for New Zealand’s #1 Fashion website http://www.FashioNZ.co.nz. Plus, it’s a fantastic event to network with the world’s top fashion media and bloggers. Let’s take a look at my adventures with links through to my stylish reports.

Hanging with the models after the Katama runway show at Andrew Boy Charlton Pool. This show was a highlight of the week, it was such an beautiful day and with the Naval Base in the background made for a stunning location to show off the sporty summery style!

Can’t wait till next year – bring on MBFWA 2018!

Buckle up – let’s go for a ride!

Hold on tight, I’m in the driver’s seat and of course you’re guaranteed a fashion fix. We’re going for a spin through Bill Richardson Transport World in Invercargill, New Zealand!
2. Invercargill

It opened in 2015 and is the largest private automotive museum of its type in the world. First up, I’m not a car fan – not one bit, I don’t even own one. I enjoy a modern inner city Melbourne lifestyle of catching Uber and Public Transport.

One of the sheds on display.

So, I was actually quite surprised how much I enjoyed visiting Transport World that I had to report and snap my experience. Plus, there was some over-the-top and fabulous fashion on display!

Invercargill 7

An entire level was dedicated to Southland’s FibreOctave Wearable Art and Musical Extravaganza. The designs on display are handcrafted from new, recycled, reinvented and couture materials.  FibreOctave is an annual spectacle of colour and creativity with the next event on 9 June 2017.

Invercargill 6

Now back to the cars, the collection was massive, to be honest I was expecting a room full of maybe 30 cars. But far out, there were sheds (as they call them) full of so many styles. What really caught my eye was the immaculate condition of these vehicles, it made for a slick automobile history lesson.

3. Invercargill

It’s an impressive collection with hundreds of motor vehicles and petrol pumps on display throughout the 15,000 square metres. It was the quirky details that really made this a visit worthwhile as even the toilets were on theme with mini petrol pumps as taps for some of the wash basins.

Invercargill 8

The retro Kombi section was my favourite that made me want to grab some friends, hit the highway and go on a crazy road trip!

5. Invercargill

Absolutely worth a visit!

Showroom launch!

It was a fabulous time at the Melbourne Watch Company showroom launch on Thursday 14 April. Host for the evening was top male model Sam Wines and guests were treated to Starward Whisky and canapes. Let’s take a look at how the night went down…

The showroom has a rustic feel with exposed wooden beams and black metal accents adding a nice masculine vibe. Nicely mixed with slick modern cabinets to present the timepiece collections.

I’ve been a fan of this brand since I first discovered their watches in 2016, what caught my eye is the fact they’re named after well-known Melbourne locations like Flinders St, Sorrento and Carlton to name a few. Plus, as you’ll see from the photos they’re stunning by design.

There is an interesting backstory, as it all began in 2013 when the brand was established via crowd funding to debut the first watch ‘The Flinders’ and due to the overwhelming response, it then spurred them on to expand with a wider range of designs.

On the night, we had a technician on hand to show us how the watches are pieced together – it’s such a delicate and intricate operation. It will be exciting to see what new releases are next!

The showroom is based in Carlton, book an appointment: www.melbournewatch.com.au/showroom
